Anybody can give us time.
How?
You can give us time right now by looking at the website and feeding back on its structure, form and content.
Some will give their time to teach the things that they are also employed to do such as the university lecturer who may pledge one keynote speech a year, or the accountant who has pledged to spend time teaching people planning to set up a small business.
There are people who deliver training in a wide variety of settings including hospitals and universities who have pledged time.
Some have pledged time to teach particular skills or knowledge that may be of benefit to the wider community such as the social worker who has pledged time to teach people about the woodland he is preserving.
They have pledged time in order to contribute towards the Week4ADay mission. To assist people with mental health issues participate in and enjoy the benefits of work and, in so doing, tackle some of the problems associated with social exclusion.
You can, of course, help the community in a different way. Whether you manage training events for commerce, educational establishments or publicly funded bodies (like NHS Trusts). Whether you are based in a local social club, Rotary Club or run the WI. Whether you want to organise an event just for Week4ADay. All can help in our mission by booking time through the Week4ADay website from those who have pledged.
Most of us know that even if we haven’t suffered with any mental health issues during our lifetime we are never far removed from somebody who is struggling to cope. We can all choose to do something. We encourage the community to do something.
